Anchorage General Manager Keith Morris and Head Coach Nick Walters were the first people to truly believe in Henriquez's potential in North America. Nothing was guaranteed. He arrived in Anchorage without a roster spot secured and had to earn every opportunity he received.

Through relentless work ethic, competitiveness, and consistency, Henriquez impressed throughout training camp before solidifying himself as the Wolverines' starting goaltender following the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota. His performance quickly began attracting attention throughout junior hockey, and it wasn't long before the Green Bay Gamblers saw something special.

Recognizing both his talent and long-term potential, Green Bay General Manager and Head Coach Pat McCadden, along with Assistant GM/Director Of Scouting Kirk Luedeke, made the decision to acquire Henriquez midway through the season, giving him the opportunity to compete in the USHL.

Like many young goaltenders making the jump to one of the world's premier junior leagues, Henriquez experienced growing pains during his first season in Green Bay.
